The City of Aiken officially opened Tax Books for collection of 2013 Property Taxes on November 18, 2013.
The City of Aiken real estate tax and certain other personal property tax, other than automobile, for 2013 are due and payable. If you have not received your tax notice for City Taxes please contact the City of Aiken Finance Department immediately.
The 22nd Annual Christmas in Hopelands light exhibit takes place at Hopelands Gardens in Aiken, South Carolina. Christmas in Hopelands is open December 12-23, & 26 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm each night (weather permitting).
The Conference Center on the First Floor of City Hall (214 Park Avenue, SW) is available for event rentals through February 28, 2014. To inquire about renting for your event, please call the City Manager’s Office at (803) 642-7654.
Edgefield Highway (SC 19 North) Corridor Study: A Joint Aiken County/City of Aiken Project
Aiken County, the City of Aiken, and DRMP consultants are jointly studying possible future improvements to approximately 11 miles of Edgefield Highway (SC 19) between Hampton Ave. and the Edgefield County line. Depending upon the location and the traveler, this highway functions as either an urban road, a rural road, a truck route, a bike/walking route, and/or a freeway interchange.
