City of Aiken Athletics / Sports

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism department offers a collection of athletic opportunities throughout the city. From sports leagues to tennis courts, softball fields, summer camps, and buddy sports, we’ve got something for everyone.

Our City-wide leagues offer leagues for youth ranging from baseball, softball, flag football, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, buddy sports, and basketball. We also don’t leave out the adults, with programs just for adults including softball, flag football, and basketball. Sign up, get active and enjoy the spirit of your team!

Our premier athletic facility, Citizens Park, boasts 15 lighted softball fields and 8 AstroTurf batting cages which host a variety of leagues and tournaments throughout the year. A two-mile walking track is also available.

For tennis lovers, there are ample courts in the middle of the city at Weeks Tennis Center. Our leading tennis facility has 6 hard courts and 10 clay courts. Odell Weeks lessons, tournaments, and open play are available on our courts.

The Athletic Division is involved in many areas and we try to be open to any opportunity to help our community. We work with all the local schools, churches, and universities to make sure that every kid has an opportunity to participate. Along with the support of our City Council and Recreation Commission, we are ready to meet the challenges of our community and the future needs of the City of Aiken.
