About the Aiken County Farmers Market The Aiken County Farmers Market is the oldest farmers market in continuous service in the same location in South Carolina. The market structure at 115 Williamsburg St. near downtown Aiken was constructed in 1954. Farmers and their families built the 45 tables that are still in use today. The market is operated by the City of Aiken and is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The Market in the Alley in downtown Aiken takes place in June.
