On Friday, August 13, the City of Aiken brings back “Movie in the Park.” The movie will be shown in the tiered amphitheater area at Beverly D. Clyburn Generations Park, located at 700 Mack Henry Holland Drive.

Community input determined The Mighty Ducks will be the featured flick of the night. Therefore, come out and enjoy the comedy film about a Minnesota lawyer sentenced to community service and has to coach a youth hockey team.

Be sure to grab your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends. The movie will begin 10 minutes after sunset for you to enjoy the movie under the stars. This will be around 8:25 p.m.

This event is free to the public, but plan accordingly to stop by one of our food truck vendors to grab a snack to enjoy with the movie. Please be sure to “leave no trace” in our park by placing all trash in the nearby receptacles. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Friday, August 20.

Beverly D. Clyburn Generations Park is home to the Extreme Generation playground equipment for ages 5 and up. It also features a walking trail, a lighted parking lot, restrooms, a fitness court, and plenty of parking space. The comfort and space that the Park provides make it a great location for you and your family to come and enjoy a family-friendly movie in the park. Be sure to make plans to attend!
