FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department Seeks Community Input Regarding Recreational Facilities, Programs and Services.
Aiken, SC – The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (PRT) Department is encouraging residential, and business leader participation in an online community needs assessment survey with a focus on the quality of life in Aiken. The 10-minute survey is being conducted by Dr. Bob Brookover of Clemson University, Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management.
Jessica Campbell, PRT Director, states, “This survey is very important to provide feedback from our citizens on recreational needs within our community. Information gathered will help us decide where to apply our resources as the City develops future budgets and capital improvement plans.”
The survey is open and will remain live and available for input until October 22, 2021. We are asking residents to complete the survey once per household address. Find the survey link on our City of Aiken website https://www.cityofaikensc.gov/prtnas. Computers will be available for public use at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior & Youth.
The survey results will guide community leaders as they plan to meet community needs over the years ahead. Data and recommendations will be presented to Aiken City Council and made available to the public at the conclusion of the process.
