Licenses and Decals for Contractors and Subcontractors : Doing Business in the City of Aiken

Contractors working in the Aiken City limits may be asked to provide our Finance Department with a copy of their SC State Contractor, Home Builder, or Specialty Contractor license number prior to approving their City business license. You may contact the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, South Carolina Contractors’ Licensing Board.

At the request of area contractors, we also require that all contractors and subcontractors working in Aiken obtain a vehicle decal. This City of Aiken decal must be displayed on the windshields of all vehicles owned by the contractor doing work within Aiken.
