The City of Aiken Plans Northside Gravity Sewer Project Meeting for the Community
Aiken, SC– The City of Aiken has scheduled a meeting to provide information on the Northside Gravity Sewer project. The meeting will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM in Betty Gyles Activity Room at Smith Hazel Recreation Center on July 12, 2023. A portion of the funding for this project is being provided through the FY22 Community Grant program being administered by the EPA.
The agenda for the meeting is to provide information on the new 24-inch gravity sewer line that will start at the Shiloh Heights Pump Station and parallel an existing18-inch sewer pipe that will be left in place and cross under Shaws Creek near Reynolds Pond Road before crossing under the road and entering City of Aiken Property to the north. The line will continue onto City of Aiken property until entering the right-of-way of the Aiken Railway property to Gregory Road. The line will then follow the existing utility easement and will ultimately terminate at the Verenes Industrial Park pump station property, owned by the City of Aiken.
