City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department Announces
Extended Hours at the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum

Beginning Monday, July 12th, the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum will be open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 5 pm. This will allow residents and visitors additional opportunities to visit the facility.

Located on the first floor is the interactive Drive-A-Train exhibit, visitor information, and gift shop. The second floor features nine dioramas that depict towns along the original South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company right of way. These dioramas are done in the familiar HO scale and are complimented by interactive displays depicting railroad history. Don’t forget about the historic trolley tour that departs from the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum at 10 am each Saturday. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in person or online by visiting www.eventbrite.com and search for Aiken Trolley Tour.
