City of Aiken Channel 4
Did you know that the City of Aiken has a local government access station that is just a click away? The City of Aiken government communications channel, known generally as Channel 4, produces and distributes information about City government services and activities. The City of Aiken’s 24-hour information station is the place to keep viewers in touch with what’s happening in the community; and provides a convenient and cost-efficient way for the City of Aiken to reach citizens and inform them about day-to-day workings of local government.
Channel 4 is a station provided by the Atlantic Broadband cablevision services and operated by the City of Aiken staff. The City government access channel is an around-the-clock programming that will keep you informed on activities of your city government displaying slides of information about meetings and agendas; job openings; city and recreation events; community spotlight; and Aiken Department of Public Safety information including ‘City’s Most Wanted’. Videos of city council and planning meetings are also aired along with programs about Aiken such as “Aiken This Week” and “Aiken Business Matters”.
In addition, also aired is information provided by the Aiken County Government; and the Aiken County Public Schools. Tickers are also displayed with alert announcements regarding road closings; emergencies; and school closings due to winter storms.
