Facilities Assistant (Part-time) Smith Hazel Pool Operator
Closes: Until filled : The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is accepting applications for year-round Part-Time Facilities Assistant to manage and maintain all aspects of the pool at Smith Hazel Recreation Center. Major duties include: Responsibilities are year round: October — March: Routine winter weekly maintenance (avg. 6-7 hrs/wk) including: checking, monitoring and balancing chemicals, cleaning skimmers & drains, basic overall inspection of pool facility. Summer Day Camp Counselors
Closes: Until filled : Major Duties Include: These temporary positions are for the Weeks and Smith-Hazel Activities Centers. Duties include: supervising children 5-12 years of age, planning daily activities indoors and outdoors including, but not limited to, arts, crafts, games and sports, swimming, chaperoning weekly field trips, and interacting with children during all hours of camp. Qualifications: Experience in childcare preferred. Must be 18 years old and able to obtain Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Salary is $8.74 hourly with no benefits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Planning, Business or Public Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. At least six years related experience including three years supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Valid state driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record. American Institute of Certified Planners (A.I.C.P.) certification is preferred.
