City of Aiken Senior Commission

The City of Aiken Senior Commission works from a primary mission statement provided by Aiken City Council and a visioning statement developed by the commission:

Mission: The mission of the City of Aiken Senior Commission is to make recommendations to the Aiken City Council and facilitate the implementation of improvements to advance the well-being of seniors (those over 50 years of age) in Aiken.

Vision: Aiken is recognized as a leader in the State for providing an attractive and accommodating community for all stages of seniors.

The seven commissioners appointed by the council represent the Aiken County Government, Aiken Area Council on Aging; Education Community; Lower Savannah Council of Governments: Medical Community, and Two At-large appointments representing the Citizens of Aiken.
