Welcome to the City Manager’s Office
The City of Aiken City Manager’s Office is responsible for directing and coordinating City department plans to help meet City Council Goals. The City Manager serves as the chief executive officer for the City of Aiken and is assisted by a city clerk and assistant city manager. The City Manager is responsible for informing and advising our City Council about services the City provides to city residents. They are also responsible for overseeing the administration of all City departments and appointing department directors.
The City Manager’s Office also provides help in supporting City Council, providing city recorder functions, managing recruitment for committees, commissions, and boards, providing public information and media support, financial and budget management, and coordinating intergovernmental relations.
