Join us for a Troll-tastic Movie Night!
Aiken, SC – The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will host Movie in the Park on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Beverly D. Clyburn Generations Park amphitheater at 700 Mack Henry Holland Drive. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the film will begin at nightfall (approximately 6:30 p.m.). Admission is free.
Get ready to groove, laugh, and let your true colors shine, because community input determined “Trolls Band Together” will be the featured film. In this third installment of the Trolls franchise, Poppy and Branch are a couple. As they bond, it’s revealed that Branch was once part of the boy band BroZone with his real-life brothers. Chaos erupts when his brother Floyd is kidnapped, prompting a comical reunion and a rescue mission led by the remaining brothers and Poppy. Rated PG, runtime 92 minutes.
The film will begin shortly after sunset, but bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends out a little earlier to enjoy some pre-movie entertainment. There will be food truck vendors on-site offering refreshments for purchase. We will also have free popcorn, face painting, and yard games available while we wait for the sun to set. Help maintain the park’s cleanliness by disposing of all trash in nearby receptacles, and please refrain from bringing tobacco products or alcoholic beverages.
Movie in the Park would not be possible without the support of these gracious sponsors: Direct Auto Insurance, SRP Federal Credit Union, Unity Dance Co., Chick-Fil-A and Chandler Law Firm.
