The City of Aiken Engineering and Utilities reports that contractor, Holiday Service, will perform hydrant flushing and flow tests on the northside of Aiken. Update on affected streets and roads.

AIKEN, SC – The City of Aiken had a water main break on Columbia Highway on Monday, March 14, 2022. This main break was on a larger water main which did not affect any residences in the area. It was able to be repaired without shutting the water system down or issuing a boil water advisory.

If a boil water advisory, according to SCDHEC POLICY, is issued for your area, it means that the water supply in your area may be contaminated. This advisory will occur in Aiken when a water main has to be shut off for repairs.
