City of Aiken Historic Resources Survey Now Online

The City of Aiken recently completed an Historic Resources Survey, an inventory of historic properties in the City limits. Working with the SC State Historic Preservation office, it was determined that there are between 1000 and 1200 historic properties. The Survey includes digitized photographs of all properties and a database developed by the SC State Historic Preservation Office to more easily transfer information between agencies and into the State Historic Preservation Office Geographic Information System.
