National Train Day 2023
CITY OF AIKEN VISITORS CENTER AND TRAIN MUSEUM SATURDAY, MAY 13 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Aiken, SC- National Train Day, an annual holiday celebrating all things railroading, will be held at the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum (406 Park Avenue SE) on Saturday, May 13th from 10 am to 1 pm.
Activities include live music, games, model railroads, a coloring contest, and an exciting trackless train ride for kids.
Event admission is free, tickets for the train ride are $2.
Smoker BBQ and Flanigan’s Ice Cream.
We are also pleased to announce the grand opening of our fully renovated 1918 Pullman car, featuring new exhibits and a brand new model railroad display inside. Don’t leave National Train Day without taking a tour!
National Train Day would not be possible without support from the Friends of the Aiken Railroad Depot. Be sure to stop by the gift shop inside the Train Depot. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Aiken Railroad Depot.
The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism invites people of all ability levels to enjoy programs, parks, and facilities. Individuals needing special assistance to participate should notify PRT Administrative Office 48 hours in advance
