The City of Aiken Design Review Board is meeting begins shortly today, Sep 1, 2020, at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers.
The City of Aiken annual Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program will be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by September 30, 2020. The CAPER provides information on how the City expended its CDBG funds during this past program year.
If a boil water advisory, according to SCDHEC POLICY, is issued for your area, it means that the water supply in your area may be contaminated. This advisory will occur in Aiken when a water main has to be shut off for repairs.
The City of Aiken is working with contractors on an exciting project to clean, video, inspect and rehabilitate 45 miles of clay sanitary sewer pipes in and around the downtown area. This area is known as the Sand River Basin. You will see the large, black trucks all around downtown as we move forward with all of the improvements.
