Pilates

Are you looking to improve your flexibility? Visualize a longer, leaner look and then make it a reality. You’ll tone and flatten your abs and strengthen your back muscles through the correct form, proper breathing, and mental focus. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. at the Odell Weeks Activities Center

Boot Camp!

Transform your body with high-intensity cardio and circuit training in a welcoming atmosphere. You will use kettlebells, Swiss balls, battle ropes, Pilates, TRX, and more. This workout will help you get fit and maintain current fitness levels. Held at the Odell Weeks Activities Center on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. For ages 14 and up (an adult must accompany ages 14-17).

Fitness Room Orientation

Ready to work out, but just not sure where to get started? Learn what equipment works for each muscle group, use it safely, and adjust it for your particular needs. Cost is free for 14 and up (adults must accompany teens aged 14 – 17). Call/text Lori Comshaw (803) 443-9771 to schedule an appointment.

Weeks Fitness Room

Our small fitness room has some BIG advantages! We may not have dozens of everything, but we have at least one of everything you need. For ages 14 and up (an adult must accompany teens aged 14-17), Mondays – Fridays, 8:15 a.m. – 8:45 p.m; Saturdays, 9:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.; Sundays, 1:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Outdoor Fitness

Did you know that Virginia Acres Park features a next-generation outdoor fitness zone with 10 adjustable resistance machines? Check it out free of charge!

Fitness Court at Beverly D. Clyburn Generations Park

The Fitness Court’s 7 Station system allows users to leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout. The fitness court builds community while being fun to use. We’ll see you on the Fitness Court!

Personal Training

We have a contracted Certified Personal Trainer available to help you take your workout to the next level in a one-on-one setting. Participants must have a valid wellness membership. Contact Lori Comshaw at 803-443-9771.

Yoga

In this gentle mind/body workout, you will strengthen and tone your body, improve your balance and flexibility, and calm your mind. Traditional yoga poses combined with soothing music will give your day a whole new focus. For ages 16 and up at the Odell Weeks Activities Center.
Morning Yoga: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:45–9:45 a.m.
Evening Yoga: Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Fit 4 Ever

This low-impact, moderate-paced fitness class is great for a total body workout! Enjoy aerobics, resistance exercises with light weights, and floor exercises set to fun, upbeat music. Ages 16 and up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Odell Weeks Activities Center.

Line Dance

Learn country line dances and those taught to jazz, big band, and modern music in this moderately paced fitness class. Ages 16 and up on Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Odell Weeks Activities Center, Rooms 6 & 7 (803) 642-7631
