The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is hosting Dr. Whit Gibbons for its first annual Reptile Day at the Depot.

Please join professor emeritus of ecology and distinguished author, Dr. Whit Gibbons, for his talk, “Snakes on a Train, and Other Passengers (including Turtles, Frogs, and Alligators!)” Dr. Gibbons will discuss the little known lives of lizards, snakes, turtles, alligators, frogs, and salamanders and their exciting contribution to the biodiversity of the Aiken County region. Live specimens (!) will be present for the lecture and used to discuss details of the ecology and behavior of these intriguing animals.
