Story Time in the Gardens, a cherished reading program that promotes literacy in our community’s youth, begins its spring season Tuesday, March 3 at 4:00pm. Story Time is free to attend and will be held on the grounds of Rye Patch, located at 100 Berrie Rd.
Many regular attendees are excited about the return of this program.

Snacks and drinks are welcome. Parents may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket. A free book is given to each family in attendance at every reading session. This program occurs every Tuesday afternoon March through May, with the exception of April 7 (Masters Week). Families are encouraged to bring used books from home to help stock the Little Free Library in Hopelands Gardens. The Little Free Library, installed in April 2017, is a free book exchange that further encourages the mission of Story Time.

Story Time in the Gardens would not be possible without support from these gracious sponsors: United Way of Aiken County, Aiken Rotary, Kitfox Pediatric Dentistry, Smith, Massey, Brodie, Guynn & Mayes, P.A., Bradley L. Boni, LLC, Lance and Cathy Traver, and The Friends of Hopelands Gardens and Rye Patch, Inc.

In the case of inclement weather, the reading will move inside Rye Patch Reception Center located at 100 Berrie Rd. SW Aiken, SC. For inclement weather information, please call 803-643-4661. For all other information, please call 803-642-7631.
