Aiken’s third annual State of the City Address is sure to draw hundreds of local residents to the AECOM Center for the Performing Arts on February 25, 2019, to hear City leaders discuss recent accomplishments and a vision for the year ahead.

An essential feature of Mayor Rick Osbon’s address will be the presentation of the Aiken Award to three incredibly dedicated and deserving Aikenites for their lifetime of dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life in our community. Last year’s recipients were Beverly Clyburn, Bill Reynolds and The Family of Cpl. Matt Dillon.

In his address, Mayor Osbon will discuss, as the event is named, the state of our city. His remarks are sure to be a celebration of the many fascinating things and people that make Aiken The Best Small Town of the South.

Those attending will see a true display of talent from local students performing music on this grand occasion. The event is organized and executed by City employees and many volunteers, all dedicated to the making of a memorable evening.
