The 2018 PACE (Police And Community Engagement) Summit will be held Friday, November 2, 2018; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the City of Aiken Municipal Building (214 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC) with Guest Presenter Chief Reginald L. Burgess of the North Charleston (South Carolina) Police Department. The Summit will also include the FBI Color of Law Workshop presented by Special Agent Cheryl Priestino and a presentation Addressing Human Trafficking by PSO Eleanor Hunter and Susan Selden of The Cumbee Center.
The purpose of the PACE Summit is to facilitate conciliatory conversations with law enforcement and community members that will help participants build mutual trust and legitimacy. This is the third year Aiken Department of Public Safety has partnered with the United States Attorney’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association to host the Summit in Aiken.
The cost for registration is $25 per participant which includes lunch.

30th Annual City of Aiken Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department as we celebrate the holidays with the 30th Annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event will be held from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 30th, 2018 at the Newberry Street Festival Center.
