Celebrate National Tennis Month with Exciting Events at Weeks Tennis Center
AIKEN, SC — The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department announces a series of special events at the Weeks Tennis Center throughout May in celebration of National Tennis Month. Located at 1745 Two Notch Road, the center invites residents of all ages and skill levels to participate. Admission is free to the events listed below.
Event Details:
1. Try Tennis Day
- Date: Saturday, May 4, 2024
- Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Description: Discover the joy of tennis with a two-hour session introducing the basic fundamentals of the sport. Loaner racquets will be provided.
2. Open House
- Date: Friday, May 11, 2024
- Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Description: Tour the state-of-the-art Weeks Tennis Center, learn about lessons and upcoming events, enjoy refreshments, and have a chance to win door prizes.
3. Hit to Be Fit
- Date: Sunday, May 19, 2024
- Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Description: Join the largest collaborative Cardio Tennis event in the country! Participants of all fitness levels can engage in Adult Red Ball and Cardio Tennis Triples. Bring a towel and get ready to have fun.
About National Tennis Month: National Tennis Month, led by the United States Tennis Association and its industry partners, celebrates the physical and mental challenges of tennis. Throughout May, communities across the U.S. are encouraged to participate in tennis-related activities and promote the sport’s benefits.
The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism welcomes individuals of all abilities to its programs and facilities. Those requiring special assistance to participate should notify the PRT Administrative Office at least 48 hours in advance.
