Effective April 18, the City of Aiken will be operating at the new Municipal Building located at 111 Chesterfield Street South, at the southwest corner of Richland Avenue and Chesterfield Street. The new building will consolidate staff currently working in four different buildings, allowing for enhanced customer service and improved operations.
The following City services will be relocated in the new building:

- Planning Department 803-642-7608
- Risk Management 803-643-2124

NOTE ABOUT UTILITY PAYMENTS:
Effective April 18, 2022, utility payments may be made in person in the first-floor lobby, using the drive-through service, by mail, by phone, online via the City of Aiken website, or by using the drive-up dropbox. The drive-up drop box will be located near the new payment drive-through station at 111 Chesterfield Street South. Monday, April 18, 2022, the transition of all services from 214 Park Ave. SW, including drop boxes, will be completed.
Except for posted holidays, the drive-through will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM –5 PM for utility payments by cash and check only. A payment stub should be presented at the time of payment.
City Council and other City Board and Commission meetings will continue to be held at 214 Park Avenue SW until further notice.
The structure, originally the Henderson Hotel, was built in 1930 and has been completely refurbished at the cost of $13.78 million.
