FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism brings the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt back to Perry Memorial Park (720 Abbeville Avenue NE) on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The fun kicks off with a special visit from the Easter Bunny, and then hundreds of filled Easter eggs will be dropped from a firetruck ladder for children to seek and find. The fun continues with games, crafts, and light refreshments. This is a free event for children ages 10 and under, with a prize awarded for each age category. The scheduled egg hunts are as follows:
Fire Truck Egg Drop
• 1-3 year olds at 11:15 a.m.
• 4-6 year olds at 11:30 a.m.
• 7-10 year olds at 11:45 a.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. However, we will have Bunny Bags available at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior & Youth Center (841 Edgefield Ave NW) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with everything you need to have a hoppin’good time at home!
The Community Easter Egg Hunt would not be possible without support from these generous sponsors: Osbon’s Laundry & Cleaners, Cedar Creek Church, Chandler Law Firm, Chick-fil-A, Direct Auto Insurance, SRP Federal Credit Union, and Unity Dance Company. We would also like to thank the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity alumni for their help with making this event a success each year.
