Mission: To utilize its collective resources to foster communication and coordination among area cultural arts organizations. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Design Review Board on proposed art installations within the old Aiken overlay zone.
Vision: With guidance from the Commission and collaborating Arts Organizations, Aiken has a thriving Arts Community that is visible and accessible to the public and provides education, enrichment and enjoyment to the diverse people of Aiken.

The meeting will be held at 111 Chesterfield St South, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building The public is invited to comment on any agenda item by submitting written comments to crbcomment@cityofaikensc.gov.
The Citizens Review Board may go into executive session pursuant to Sec. 30-4-70(a)(1) of the South Carolina Code for the purpose of discussing the employment, appointment, compensation, promotion, demotion, discipline, or release of an employee. Specifically, the Board will review complaints filed against public safety officers that have been appealed to the Board.

Council Chambers maximum occupancy is 150. Council meeting agendas are always available before the meetings on the City of Aiken website. For example, for a Monday meeting, the agenda will be available the Thursday prior to the meeting. At a minimum, pursuant to City Code, agendas must be published by noon on the day preceding the meeting. Items on the agenda requiring a decision by Council will have a period for public comment before Council moves to a vote. When the Mayor opens the floor for public comment on that agenda item, you may simply raise your hand to be recognized. A five-minute limit (max) is implemented on public comments in the meeting.
You may also submit written comments about agenda items to the City Clerk in advance of the meeting for Council consideration. Per the Equine Committee bylaws as adopted by City Council on 11/14/2022, the Committee shall meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month as needed at 4:00pm. The annual meeting schedule shall be published at the beginning of each calendar year and shall include dates, times and places of scheduled meetings. Notice shall be posted as soon as practicable if the Chair determines not to meet in a given month. Additional meetings may be held at any time upon the call of the Chair and after posting proper notice.
