City of Aiken Public Pool at Smith-Hazel
The City of Aiken Public Pool at Smith-Hazel, located at 416 Kershaw St. NE, is part of a 4.75-acre public space that includes the Smith-Hazel Recreation Facility, a large park with shaded seating areas and a walking trail, a playground, and an outdoor basketball court.
The facility houses one pool that is five feet deep at its deepest point and 0 feet at its shallowest. Although the pool is surrounded by a six foot safety fence and has certified Lifeguards to ensure safety, any children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a swimming adult. Pool features include a zero-depth entry making entry accessible to all patrons, engaging water features, and two water slides. The pool house includes restrooms with showers and outdoor showers for use before water entry. Bathing suits must be worn. Children who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers. Patrons may enjoy the provided amenities, as well as bring seating and shade from home.

We welcome private or church camps to visit our pool as part of the curriculum; please contact us to schedule an appointment to ensure lifeguard staff is available to accommodate.
