The City of Aiken Media Division is excited to announce the premiere of its first episode of “Rooted in Aiken” on 4Aiken, the City’s streaming channel. This video series delves into the stories and maintenance of Aiken’s cherished trees, with the valuable contributions of Dacre Stoker, Executive Director of Aiken Streetscapes, Aaron Campbell, The City of Aiken Arborist/Horticulturist, and series creator Gary Meadows, Media Coordinator for the City.
In this inaugural episode, we take you to South Boundary Ave, where proactive pruning efforts are underway to preserve Aiken’s iconic canopy. “Rooted in Aiken” will be a quarterly series, with occasional sub-episodes to keep you engaged. You can access the streaming channel 4Aiken on the City’s website, www.cityofaikensc.gov/4aiken, or enjoy it on your Apple TV, ROKU, or Amazon Fire devices.
