Archery for All
Open to beginners and experienced participants, students will learn archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, and self-improvement from professionals with nearly 60 years of combined successful coaching experience. Take fitness to new heights on our 1,200 square foot rock climbing facility near Carolina Bay on Price Ave. Our instructor is fully trained and will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Climbing routes have been designed for beginner/ experienced climbers. In addition, drop-in climbing sessions and group rentals are available! Ages 3 and up on Wednesdays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Pickleball at Odell Weeks Activities Center and Smith-Hazel Recreation Center
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America! It is a fun sport combining tennis and ping pong’s fundamentals on a space the size of a badminton court. It’s fast-paced, easy to learn, and an exercise good for all ages! We have all the equipment you need to begin, including a designated beginners’ court. Just bring yourself! Need an introduction to the sport of pickleball or want to advance your skills? Learn the rules and get great pointers for improvement. Paddles and balls are provided. Each clinic is limited to eight players, with a minimum of four. Sign up at the Odell Weeks Activities Center or Smith-Hazel Recreation Center front desk. Also known as Ping Pong, Table Tennis is a fun and competitive sport that dates back to the early 1900s when it was played as a parlor game after dinner.
