City of Aiken Baseball

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department Youth Baseball Program is designed to provide children ages 4-18 in the Aiken area with an opportunity to participate in an organized recreational baseball league. By striving to emphasize sportsmanship, participation, and fun, our goal is that each participant will have gained a positive learning experience at season’s end.

The registration fee per child is $50.00 for in-city residents and $80.00 for non-city residents. Every child will make a team, and leagues for ages 9 and up will hold tryouts for team placement in order to guarantee a more competitive league.

Once placed on a team, each child will receive a Major League Baseball team replica game jersey and hat which is theirs to keep.

Depending on the age group, the regular season consists of ten to twelve games over a period of two to three months.

All-Stars will take place after post-season tournaments. The All-Stars program gives the elite players from each league a chance to compete in tournament play at a highly competitive level. Selection of All-Stars is done by the coaches in conjunction with the Staff.

In order to provide a fun, safe, and positive environment for all children, we require that each coach go through the National Alliance for Youth Sports certification process and a national background check.

Sponsors are needed for our youth baseball program and if you are interested in this program, please call us at 803-642-7761.
