City of Aiken Cheerleading

The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Cheerleading program is a great way for kids to stay active, learn new skills, and have fun in a clinic-style setting. It is also a great way to build confidence and self-esteem.

Participants will receive a t-shirt, shorts, and poms. This program is for girls ages 5 – 12 (as of September 1 of the current year).

League play will be from August – October.

Our youth cheerleading program is a great way for kids to learn the basics of cheerleading, such as cheers, chants, and stunts. The program will also teach kids about teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.

In addition to learning the basics of cheerleading, kids will also have the opportunity to perform at games and competitions. This is a great way for kids to show off their skills and have fun.

To provide a fun, safe, and positive environment for all children, we require that each coach undergo the National Alliance for Youth Sports certification process and a national background check.

If you are looking for a great way for your child to stay active, learn new skills, and have fun, I encourage you to sign them up for a youth cheerleading program.

Here are some additional benefits of participating in a youth cheerleading program:
