City of Aiken Business Licensing Applications, Permits, and Forms

Any application, permit, or form that cannot be submitted online MUST be downloaded, completed in its entirety and delivered in person to the Business Licensing office.

Accommodations Tax Application (City)

The City of Aiken Accommodations Tax Application is an application for those businesses or individuals engaged in short term rentals. The Accommodations tax is a 3% sales tax on short term rentals, collected by the business and remitted to the City of Aiken.

The City of Aiken Accommodations Tax Monthly Replacement Form is a replacement form for remitting the collected accommodations tax. This form can be used in lieu of the monthly form that is mailed out.

Business License Application

The City of Aiken Business License Application is used to purchase a new business license. This application is only to be completed if you are obtaining a new business license. Please use the business license renewal form for all renewals.

Business License Renewal Form

The City of Aiken Business License Renewal Form is a generic form used to replace the renewal form that gets mailed out each year. This form is only to be used for renewing business licenses for those that hold annual licenses. Please contact us if you have questions about the information needed to complete the form.

Business License Final Fee Application

The City of Aiken Business License Final Fee Application is for closing an existing annual business license. Please contact us before submitting a final fee application with payment.

Garage-Yard Sale Permit (City)

Please use this form when submitting via mail for a City of Aiken Garage-Yard Sale Permit. The Garage-Yard Sale Permits can also be obtained in person at 111 Chesterfield St S. or at the Aiken Standard.

General Sub-Contractor Listing Form

City Code Sec. 12-52 requires each prime contractor to file with the license official a list of sub-contractors furnishing on-site labor or materials for each project. This form must be turned in to the Building Inspections Division prior to obtaining a building permit.

Group Event License

The City of Aiken Group Event License application is only for those hosting events within the City of Aiken that wish to purchase one so the vendors do not have to also obtain one. This license is only valid for the event listed on the application. Any event that has vendors that sell prepared food and beverage will need to give each vendor a Temporary Hospitality Tax Application.

Hospitality Tax Application

The City of Aiken Hospitality Tax Application is only for those businesses engaged in selling prepared food and beverage within the City of Aiken. The Hospitality Tax is a 1% sales tax on all prepared food and beverage that the business collects and remits back to the City of Aiken.

Hospitality Tax One Time Job Form

The City of Aiken Hospitality Tax One Time Job Form is used to remit the Hospitality Tax for an event in which those vendors or businesses that are engaging in business within the City of Aiken under a Group Event License. While these businesses do not need to obtain their own City of Aiken business license, as the event host has done so already, they will still be required to collect the Hospitality Tax on any sold prepared food and beverage.
